He’s been called a cuddle champion, always quick for a nap or a snuggle, making him the ultimate MVP of companionship.

Urgent Appeal: Las Vegas Pet Food Pantry Faces Critical Shortage of Dog Food

Our local pet food pantry is experiencing a severe dog food shortage, with only a limited supply left.

In August, the need was overwhelming, as more than 3,400 pounds of pet food were distributed to families struggling to care for their pets.

To address this rising demand, the pantry recently extended its hours, but support from the community is now essential to keep beloved dogs with their families.

Donations of both dry and wet dog food are desperately needed, and every contribution—big or small—has a real impact.

While cat food supplies remain strong, the pantry relies solely on donations and grants to operate.

Supporters can help by sending items from the Amazon wishlist directly to the shelter, or dropping off dog food at the adoption lobby, 655 North Mojave Road, Las Vegas, NV, 89101.

Together, we can keep pets safe and secure at home.

Meet Celeste: A Playful Pup Seeking a Loving Home

Cece, a lively two-year-old dog, is currently flourishing in her foster home through the Animal Foundation.

Her playful spirit and affectionate nature shine, making her a delightful companion who loves puzzles, toys, and cuddles.

Cece’s foster mom needs to travel soon, and she’s hoping to find either a new foster or, ideally, a permanent family for Cece.

Returning her to the shelter is a last resort, as Cece was deeply stressed during her first stay there.

Though eager to bond with other dogs, Cece’s playful energy would be best matched with a playmate who enjoys her enthusiasm.

The Animal Foundation is facing severe overcrowding, urgently seeking fosters to help dogs like Cece.

Community support in fostering, donating, or reuniting lost pets is vital for giving local animals a brighter future.

Meet Colossal: A Gentle Giant Seeking a Loving Home

Colossal is a gentle 110-pound, three-year-old dog searching for a fresh start in Las Vegas.

Surrendered by his previous owner, he’s struggling to adjust at The Animal Foundation and often feels anxious and frightened in the shelter.

Colossal isn’t leash-trained, shows distress in new situations, and needs a patient, quiet home where he can decompress.

Though nervous around strangers and fireworks, he is friendly with other dogs and could flourish in a calm, understanding environment.

Adopters can meet Colossal at The Animal Foundation on Mojave Road, where his needs can be discussed with staff.

To ease overcrowding, adoption fees for large dogs are waived during August as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters initiative.

Welcoming Colossal into your home this month helps both him and the local shelter community.
