Fromm Family Foods has initiated a voluntary recall of 300 cases of its Bonnihill Farms BeefiBowls Beef Recipe gently cooked frozen dog food due to potential plastic contamination.
The recall affects 16 oz. chubs with a best by date of December 25, 2026, and lot code B01.
These products were distributed to pet stores across several states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, as well as in Ontario, Canada.
Consuming plastic can lead to serious health issues in dogs, such as gastrointestinal upset and the risk of intestinal obstruction.
Symptoms to watch for include vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, and stomach discomfort.
To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported.
Pet owners who have purchased the affected product should stop feeding it to their dogs immediately and return it to the retailer for a full refund.
